The Lewella Centre offers small meditation huts and an open hall (can be used for walking meditation, for practice yoga) for self retreat, situated on a hill with a beautiful view over the Mahawelli river valley .The huts are bungalow type buildings provided with electricity, water and an attached toilet. And two rooms available at the main building with a shared bathroom.

Residential stay is possible for male meditators of any Buddhist meditation tradition. The main building of the centre houses a well-stocked library, a meditation hall and a room for Yoga exercises. Residential meditators are also welcome for the yoga classes if they like or individual yoga classes also can be arranged on arrival or by E-mail with Mahesha

Charges

Resident meditators assist the centre's maintenance cost with 500 Rupies daily (approximately 5US$) for stay in the retreat huts and two simple vegetarian meals and tea per day.

Meals:

Two simple vegetarian foods (mostly rice and curry Sri Lankan style and some times some Indian meals also provided for breakfast) are provided for Breakfast and Lunch, and residents are welcome to use the cocker to make their tea.
Breakfast time : 8.30 A.M ..............Lunch time: 12.30 noon

The lewella meditation centre owns a good collection of books at the main building. (Including Buddhist teachings (Suttas), Books on meditation, Psychology, and much more, most of them are in English and the library does have some German books as well. Residential meditators are welcome to use the library at any time and it is possible to lend the books from the library during the stay at the centre. Visitors also welcome to use the library on reference basis..
